“April Showers” is a heartwarming homage to Winnipeg, capturing a quintessential urban scene bathed in the unique ambiance of a rainy April day. The painting offers a view down Main Street, leading the eye towards the iconic Richardson Building. Amidst the gentle rainfall, three pedestrians navigate the crossing, their movements adding a lively yet serene rhythm to the cityscape. The painting comes alive with the reflections of city lights and a passing bus, dancing in the rain-created puddles, bringing a dynamic and almost melodic quality to the familiar streets of my hometown.
