With this bronze, I set out to capture the quiet, intimate bond between a mother black bear and her cub. Seated together, the cub rests safely in its mother’s lap, reaching up to touch her paw—a small gesture that speaks to trust, protection, and connection. I focused on conveying the calm strength of the mother alongside the natural curiosity of the young, allowing the relationship between the two figures to guide the composition. Balanced and full of presence, Mother and Child is my tribute to the enduring bond between parent and offspring.
